2.Sum anatomy studies from books etc.
3.Gotta practice drawing the clothed figure.

and then i give myself a review afterward....

heres stuff from the 9th

one can only get better, ama post em wheter their crappy or not so u can see if i improve:D

;)

shit i've learnt so far...

Need to think more about the pose, what is it?
need to get looser
don't jump to new poses so quickly, try to develop one pose further

Then there later that day...

these are from sum photo ref over at cgtalk,i obviously jumped ahead earlier trying to do my own poses.I've already learnt that i'm very limited in my posing, this is a big reason for doing this daily task, all i seem to be good at is people standing around.

obviously i made my drawings waaay more exaggerated than the photo:D i've learnt a little more now...

i never really took line of action seriously, looking at the last 5 theres a strong line of action in all of them, first time i've actually taken it seriously i known how to use it properly
a few lines are made first to get the gist of the pose, then the details are added bit by bit after, this is somethning i should do more often
drawing is allot more for when ur not thinking to technical about it
the human body is capable of allot more things than i thought.

sum anatomy studies ala loomis:rolleyes:

REVIEW ON GESTURES 11TH JULY 2006

It feels good drawing everyday, and aiming towards something.I see improvement in some of the works here.

I started out with excitement and enthusiasm in the first pages..... "wohoo" i said, this is fun. Then came page two where i got a little tired,by pages 3 and 4 i felt i wasn't learning anything and was just copying poses...drawing for the sake of drawing.

So from about page 5 onwards i started to focus more on the essence of the pose, and i would changes things about the poses that i felt neccasry (i worked from photos) exaggerating as i went along.

things i noticed...

Allot of poses are made up of strong curves, with a good straight to broaden the pose, not that i didn't notice this a long time ago,but its just become more apparent now.
Angles are quite important
Less is more:Less lines seem to create more life in an image, which is why it seems fat people are easier to draw, theres less to worry about.Obviously its not gunna stay with minimal lines, since details in clothing and what not have to come about eventually, just have to make sure u don't use lines that don't need to be there.

I didn't get a chance to do anatomy study, which is why i'm working on 4 pages today, and 10 more pages of gestures, followed by another review.I hope to be able to create my own cool poses in a couple of days, and maybe explore other things like animals, hands and feet etc.

This is only gestures in this thread, like i said earlier i'm going to make a new thread with cleaned up art.Probably on the weekend.

i think the stuff on the 10th page is the best here, which is good,i hope to show clear improvement by every tenth page.

day after.....

B]heres yesterday nights 10 gestures these where mega loose. But i'm satisfied,i was concentrating more on feeling the pose now ,more than petty things like clothes and anatomy
(i still have those 4 pages of anatomy study to post from yesterday and day before don't worry haha)[/B]

Man all this scanning is painful, thank god i'm not going to be an animator

..oh wait:rolleyes: :D

REVIEW FOR 12th july gestures

not a great more was learnt, sum of the same point from earlier.but....

When drawing more than one person, its great to draw them as one gesture, hard to explain, draw a bit of each person as u go along.
thinks like folds in clothes suprisingly become clearer when u drawing the gestures, its like u can see where and why the fold look the way they do
I've also attempted to do my own poses, that i'm not showing, but because i'm less *afraid* than i was earlier ,i can push the limits of the body allot further

with that said, after todays poses,i think i'm gunna set myself some themes, like: standing poses, group poses, throwing poses etc. without using reference, that will tell me if i've actually learnt anything yet.

i'll post the 4 pages of anatomy studies in about an hour, cos i can't be arsed right now.

i'm seeing a pattern here, lol, pages 3 and 4 out of the ten i do a day always seem to be the worst...hmmm.

here are yesterdays and day b4's anatomy studies, was just focusing on the arm.

u don't have to pay too much attention to these as i'm just drawing the same things over and over and over again,so hopefully in a few weeks i won't have to refer to book anymore cos they'll be stuck in my head,i'm gunna post em everyday anyway just to prove i'm still doin em.tonight i'll focus on the leg though, maybe a few more arms:p
