I dont watch a lot, if any, tv, buuuuut this show was recommended to me by my best friend. and damn! its awesome. I love it. and you should, or do, or will, too.

Kinda a general premise:
"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia revolves around four friends who run a bar in the City of Brotherly Love and have to overcome their relentless self-involvement to make their friendship and business work." (from tv.com)

charlie has to be my favorite character. I enjoy how he flips out. a lot

any comments or questions or thoughts are welcome

I haven't watched an episode, but, being a resident of said City of Brotherly Love (aka Hostile City, aka "black hole of hate"), I don't know why the hell they set the show here. They don't film it here, I don't think any of the writers have ever actually been here... I'm hearing all this "Phillys the new Seatle" talk, but I'm just not buying it. But uh, you say the show's good?

I agree with Dave. Philly is one of the most corrupt, "man puts us down", corrupt, unions controll how long you take a shit, corrupt cities ever.... did i mention corrupt. Think about it, our mayor was bugged by the FBI for corruption and he got re-elected cause he's an african american and it was viewed as "the man" was trying to get him out of office.
Theres about 10% of this city thats nice, this includes out wonderful art museum and downtown. As far as philly being "the new Seattle", now ive never been to Seattle but i hear its a nice place. The people saying that must only be looking at the Main Line and center city.
Theres a reason that we are no longer the place for buisnesses. Everyone left cause of all the crap here.
When you head into center city and old city and stuff though you can see alot of potential for the city and its hard cause everywhere else is just a festering black morrass.
oo yea and unlike new york where everyone is rude. People here just plane hate everyone. Our sports fans throw batteries at players, its rediculous.
Sorry about that... dont give me the opportunity to rant agaist this city :)

anyway i havent seen the show but i hear its funny :)

an example of a recent ep. i saw involved two of the main characters going out on their own. They decided that they could get welfare, but they werent elligable soooo they decided to become crackheads.

there have been several kinda topics so far such as: guns, drugs, and sex. its fairly over the top and the characters seem fairly ordinary but they're far from. A lot of off the wall stuff.

The show's hilarious (go go dark comedy.) I kinda wish Danny DeVito wasn't around though. His character doesn't really belong, and I think he's only around for star power.

I watched the first episode. It was hilarious. I really wish i had cable now :\
It seems the exteriors are shot in Philly (i recognized a few, especialy since the "college campus" they went to was my old college, UPenn) and the interiors are LA. I am sorry to say, but there is no Paddy's Irish Pub in Philly. Atleast not to my knowledge, but there are about 100,000 irish pubs in the city.
