My problem is that I can't save any brushes. Here's a screen cap of my brushes menu:

I am an admitted dunderhead, so forgive if this has been asked before. I did in fact do an automated search, but didn't find anything.

I can't actually get it to do what is there! No matter what you do, you should be able to save brushes!:$
What version are you using?

i think when u have all the settings for ur brush u go into new brush and give it name then it should be saved.

bcrichplayer is correct... The New Brush option will prompt you to name that brush you just worked on and then save it... enjoy.

No, I think he's referring to actually saving your set of brushes, not creating a new preset.
Hmmm, that's odd. I really have no idea why all your options are greyed out. Photoshop 7, right?
Are you able to open the Preset Manager in the Edit Menu?
