A request

Heya everyone!

I've a little request for you people, I'm having quite a lot of trouble with a certain "weapon" design that I'm currently working on, and I was wondering if the community would be so kind and help me out.

The weapons' sole purpose is to deliver and receive (shoot and catch if you wish) a 6-8 inch ball. The only limitation is that it has to be one handed.

If you have any ideas, and time, please post them.

well for starters .. why dont post on what your working on

and the only thing i can think of...to an object that catches and delivers.. would be something thats mitt based...for example.. baseball mit.. a lacrosse stick.

There's that jai-alai game where you throw and catch a ball with a scoop.

I would have some sort of weapon that is based on a magnet. like when you want to shoot it it uses an opposite force to shoot it then a strong magnet to get the ball back. kind of like a magnet canon.
