Ok this is one thing thats been bugging me latley, Ive been interested in drawing heads latley in profile and front etc especially in line and because people keep telling me different things on how to aproach a situation im getting a little confused.
Ok first question what is that head measurement in profile something like the forhead cant be bigger/smaller than the chin or whatever and theres a vertical line sorry its abit vague.
Second question Ive made a thread about copying from photos but what about if you copy faces from photo, I know there is distortion but surely that would only have a major effect in figures. Ive seen shawn barber (think that was his name) he was drawing peter konig. Im trying hard to keep to rules and I havent drawn from photos but im losing ideas for face construction. I do draw my face from mirror and my family but it seems limited in what ill learn in terms of face structure im also in the middle of nowhere so going out and finding people is tough.
What are your views?
