Hi guys. hopefully i can get some of the big dawgs here to do some critiqueing, . im ready to try to take my art to the next level, with larger, more ambitious pieces. heres one i did for this week's chow, and i think ive pushed it as far as i can push it, that is without adding in color. Can i get some feedback on it? what are the next steps i should make?

That's great! I think holding that baby like that, while sitting that way wouldn't be very comfortable though. And the guy seems to be falling over alittle towards the woman. The man's right arm looks a little too bulky, and his shoulder are positioned a little weak, they're not as straight as they should be.
See :

I straighten him a little, debulked his arm a bit, flipped the baby ( that sounds pretty evil xD ), and gave a little help line for his shoulders, hope I'm somewhat correct on this, I need some big guys to confirm :P

Limo- you've just given the dwarf oh-shit-I-have-a-baby-for-a-penis syndrome.
Marco, I'm not really getting "dwarf" from your guy. Right now he's looking like an overbulked short dude (but not short enough to be a dwarf) at best. I'm seeing some anatomy issues with your female figure. Especially in the collarbone area, where the neck meets the head. I think her face might be a little small for her head as well. Her bellybutton is reading pretty high. And I think her ass is starting slightly higher than it should. Or all that aside, and her arms are just too long.
I'd rework the dwarf guy too. Right now he's looking straight out, kind of mopey and has this whole "oof.baby heavvvvy" posture. It was a love affair, have him cradle his little baby, and look at it. It wasn't a wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am-oh-shit-I-have-a-baby kind of hookup. Even if it was, make him look at the baby with a "wtf am I supposed to do with THIS".
I think you can push this farther with some fresh eyes. If you want it now, then do the old flip canvas horizontal trick. Make sure to post the revised one.

Hehe, you're right, that crossed my mind to :P, and I also thought about the cradling, but I wasn't too sure about it. I guess you could try it marco, and see which is best.

pfff i agree with most of the crit, but...a dwarf i.e a fictional character, is whatever i want it to look like. the only thing dif abotu this, is that hes got his beard shaved off...(hes a pimp, cmon)...anyway
in the description, i described him as having arms as thick as a treetrunk. hes a massive lil guy. i hate when people say "it dont look like a dwarf"...but then if lord of the rings came out with him, then peopled say "dude, that looks nothing like the one in lord of the rings."

marco, I'm thinking more along the lines of real life dwarf. Like, people with dwarfism.
dwarfism google images (http://images.google.com/images?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official_s&hl=en&q=dwarfism&btnG=Google+Search&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi)
Your drawf looks too much like a normal jacked short-dude. Doesn't really seem to have the right bodyframe.
