View Full Version : DSG 1090: Scene: HAZY VIEW, BETWEEN BUILDINGS, OF LARGE VESSEL ON INTRA-METRO CANAL

[ A canal that goes right into, and through, the city allowing large ships a rather snug passage amidst the many buildings. ]
[ This might take place on a muggy summer's day, a foggy grey morn, or a vaporous winter's night. ]
[ I expect atmospheric effects, architectural interest, evocative ship structure, and clever use of perspective... ]
[ ... or somesuch thereabouts as time, talent, and effort allows today for you. ]

very cool klys.
mahsroh you may want to get a second opinion cause i suck at life, but i feel that your compositon needs work. theres the warm brown strip right in the middle thatt draws your eye there but theres nothing there to keep your attintion.
ill work on mine tonight and post it in the morning.

Well, I figure I might as well start trying out some of these rather than looming in the shadows being scared to post. Hopefully i'll have time to do this regularly. Crits welcome but be gentle :)

While the rich enjoy the benefits of the canal, and can afford their own boats, those less fortunate use the inter-metro shuttle, and can dream of living on the waterfront.
painter, 50 min, I guess. I suck :P

I dunno, it looks a bit too much like a dock rather than a metropolitan area. Especially because of the chains I added in the foreground.
I really should draw more environment rather than just organic stuff... I need to practice.
Oh, and constructive critique is more than welcome.

Hi, I'm new here. Here is my entry. Maybe about an hour and a half (or two - I was at work so it's hard to add up real time). Crits welcome.
