I have been experimenting with a more realistic style of drawing and am rather pleased with the results. Mostly the medium has been a black bic gel pen, a sketchbook and sincere effort.

dont mean to put you down, but if youre after a more realistic style of drawing, you gotta draw real people. take the time, if you have it, to sit and draw actual people as you really see them. draw with quick clean lines, try and avoid detail, just give a general impression of what youre trying to convey. again, sorry to be blunt, but the scratchy pen lines arent really helping your drawings. use far less lines, and dont be afraid to take your time. you could still work in pen, drawing in pen is a great exercise, but keep to a bare minimum of lines.
