i require an SLR for this semester of uni. i figure ill take the 2nd hand approach, an have allowed for around AU$100 (cant afford any more, being an art student :P). ive scanned the local shops and certain ebay auctions, but was wondering if people could recommend a good beginners model that can be found for this price. im no genius when it comes to cameras, ive grown up in the digital era, but nonetheless i need to learn. the camera in question needs to have manual focus and appature settings, but other than that im free to select whatever model i choose.

any recommendations? have good/bad experiences with certain brands/models? please share, i need to secure one in the next 2 weeks.

thanks in advance.
