Howdy, pretty new around here, lurking for a bit though, been some awesome stuff around here. Normally i'm pretty shy about showing my work, embarressed about it.
Im 15 and from Toronto.
Lately ive swayed towards the idea of taking a hobby further, so i've been drawing more and more, while learning and enjoying it. What i want to acomplish is:
1. To get great anatomical accuracy
2. Fix bad drawing habbits
3. Get better at using photoshop
4. Learn to draw portraits
5. Figure out how to put clothes on the figure (punches himself for not doing this before so hes gunna focus on it soon)
Anyways a start to my SB with some crazed variety.

I finished the dog and messed with the ball in PS, I had a couple hit and miss sketches here. I need to fix my hairy lines.

The first image is maybe a week old but it was my first good study so i decided to put it up
2.I drew this one up late last night, im proud of how clean my lines were on the sketch in the topleft corner, although they got sketchy again.
3. I drew this from real life, its not clean *sigh* but the kid is sittin drinkin a juice box w/ his arm by his head.
4. just a fun pic of a pose that popped into my head. Some anatomy/perspective issues.
I need to think and remember to keep clean lines when i draw><
Oh btw and crits are welcome harsh or not, advice is always appreciated.

Some nice work up there. You might draw more from interior to exterior with your figures to clean or eliminate some of that messy contour. Also, relax.

W00t STM got some books in the mail, im going to be studying peck's for a while now, the first pic is after taking a quick look and then trying to remember and drawing the skull at work.
The second one is me at home with the book next to me, the first two, front and side are copied from the book for reference, as you can see in my other two skulls i have some kinks to work out, mainly nasal pasage countours and how the bones look around the cheek area from different angles.
No update yesterday cuz i was hella tired, teaching kids without much experience is tough work.

Hey man! Thanks for stopping by my SB! Always nice to find people my age on CA.
Two main crits- Stop petting lines, and block things in so your poportions are right.
Petting lines is a really tough habbit to break, I still do it unconciously (or consiously too). Tyr drawing in sweeping strokes to get used to it. It also helps if sometimes you use pen or just don't erase so you force yourself to try and get the line right the first time.
As for proportions, Loomis has a great section on it if you haven't seen it. You stuff is usually right, but every now and then something is too small or a bit wonky.
Hope that helped, keep it up!

I mean...it sucks i have so many problems with this one, its from real life BTW, But i think that the outline is some cleaner til the guitar anyways. and you know what makes this even worse!? the subject is 13 >< he looks older with a small head><
As for pecks bones and studying...I'll qoute the great jack black,
"we'll start on this crapola, tomorrow."
