1) I hate dane cook
2) dane cook has stole several bits from other comedians, most notabley Loius CK's standup
3) Proof for #2 http://www.eden.rutgers.edu/~tfahs/danesteals.mp3
watch louis CK's show if you want good comedy, Lucky Lulu, which is right before dane cooks horrible tourgasm show.
PS: Dont fucking listen to carlos mencia also, he isnt even FUCKING MEXICAN HE IS GOD DAMN HALF GERMAN HALF HONDURIAN RACIST IDIOT.

Louis CK is indeed awesome.
Dane Cook is in fact, a joke stealing douchebag.
Carlos Mencia is the king of douchebags.
edit: Oh and also, If you think Eddie Izzard is funny, I ran some tests and I'm pretty sure you're wrong.

Davie isn't it Lucky Louie? Unless it translates to Lulu in another country.
I agree CK Louis Is friggin hilarious. I was just watching one of his standups last night, I was laughing my ass off. The show is not so great! but it has it's moments.
I can't believe that guys is blantantly ripping those jokes off, what a fuck job.

Louis C.K. is hilarious.
I still love Dane Cook. Even if they were stolen, those bits were hardly either of their A material.
I've never heard of Carlos Mencia.

I have no opinion on Dane Cook (all I've seen is some talk show appearances and his SNL hosting), but Mencia is an unfunny tool.
There hasn't been a stand-up I've really been in love with since Mitch Hedberg died.

The way I see it, if you can take a joke and improve it and make people laugh, then there's nothing wrong with it. Dane Cook can do this well, (though I haven't seen his show, only heard his CD's). Carlos Mencia, on the other hand...
Perhaps these "stealing" comics have the permission to use the jokes... who knows? Any professional comedians here in CA.org know of the "rules" of standup?

Wait a sec. I've got a question, (because I still like Dane Cook's stuff, sorry.)
How do we know the other guy didn't steal from him? I'm not trying to deny Dane did it or anything. I just want to know who did their routine first. Is the other guy on that sound clip Lucky Louie or Lulu? And who is this Lou guy?
Sorry for the dumb question. I lost my brain last week and still haven't found it.

I think its because louis CK did his stuff WAY before dan cook even became a comedian. im not totally sure of the time tables though.

Wow....can't believe no one talks about the greats (Eddie Murphy - "Raw","Delirious", Robin Williams, Damon Wayans, Jamie Foxx (early stuff), Richard Pryor)....amazing...
I think Dane Cook is hilarious (look below my name). Never heard of Louis CK or the lucky lulu character either... :\

Speaking of good standup people, who doesnt like George Carlin? His fart jokes I could do without, but hes got tons of intelligent comedy, and dudes been around for decades. Im pretty sure he writes almost completely new material for every tour he does too..

I've never heard of this CK guy but I'm no standup buff. Did he really come before Dane? I really don't want to research this on google lol. Doesn't make sense to me cause Dane Cook has some really funny material of his own, unless he stole all that too. Harmful if Swallowed was the funniest thing around back in 02.
Heres a nod to Eddie Murphy(Delerious), all Richard Pryor, Ron White(don't laugh, he's pretty good), a little Chris Rock, a lot of Chappelle and the man, Mitch Hedburg.

I think carlos mencia's earlier stand up was funny, I'm a little tired of him now. Greg Giraldo had me crackin up on the insomniac tour. I think Russel Peters is pretty hilarious too

How about Lewis Black, can I be accepted if I like Lewis Black? Or David Cross? Am I being morally responsible if I listened to two atheist Jews?

you're totally right about Carlos and Dane being complete assfucks, but dont rag on Eddie Izzard. He's funnier than most comedians out there, or at least I think so.

I really liked Eddie Izzard's Dressed to Kill dvd, but then I'm a sucker for someone that can write historical comedy. (I know, I know, I'm a nerd...)

Here's a funny TV funhouse that Louis CK co-wrote, along with Dino Stamatopolous, who comedy nerds will know.

I'm a huge comedy buff, so I'm familiar with ever comedian so far mentioned, but one that has gone unsaid is Zach Galafanakis, probably one of the funniest men alive. Richard Belzer was good when he was still doing standup, and Steven Wright was incredible. I had the pleasure of seeing George Carlin not that long ago, and I won't lie, he's dropping off in his later years, he's made the transition to funny/angry, to just outright angry, and his ability to make us laugh has suffered as a result. Don't get me wrong, he's still funny, but not nearly to his previous levels.
*Edit* Wow, I completely forgot to add my two cents on the Dane Cook issue, admittedly, he did steal the bit so far as the general concept, but he did modify the joke itself to something his own. I don't condone what he did, but in light of his other material, it can't be used as the sole point of his career by which you judge him. Furthermore he isn't the only comedian to ever steal material, and if we wanted to delve deep enough into it, I'm sure several comedians would be struck from our lists because of one thing they did. I do enjoy Dane Cook, though I don't idolize him as a beacon of comedy as many do, and this won't stop me from listening to him.

Hedberg was hillarious. My fav stand up comedian of all time. And shortly after I found Dane and really like his stuff as well. I have to say that after listening to that clip, if Dane is stealing his stuff he's at least making it better. He's so goofy and ridiculous. I love his quirky delivery styles and such. He's an A plus in my book. Sorry, Davi. Don't hold it against some of us when your judging the T-Dome! ;)
