I took a year off of the art biz to be a paramedic for a while, and now I'm back. Strange life.
First post here, making the rounds on all the forums. I love this community, although I think we're too Star Wars heavy, ya dig?

i like your work ted, but i think it's missing something.... i suggest lightsabers on the elephant.

These are great. I'm not keen on the shading of the elephant. ALMOST looks chrome in some parts.

the treehouse is gorgeous.
but i think mr elly phant of the circus is too bright.
and has too much colour.
i'd go for a darker and more greyish blue, possibly with a tint of green..
a little work on the light on the elefant wouldn't go amiss either.

i'll have to disagree about the color of the elephant.
the choice of color on the elephant is a purely stylistic thing and not nessisarily realistic. i think it looks fine.

regarding the lightsaber..... blue? come on, we all know packiderms are evil.... he's red! :mrt:

yeah i understand the stylistic ways of dumbo.
but the weather urges to make thing darker.
and if there were a lightning, the contrast should be sharper
on the elephant.
ie black shadows, and bright blue top.
