okay so its not COMPLETELY finished, I'm gonna do a whole background but I'm a little excited about this one and wanted to show it NOW. plus i need crits so i can fix it up before i add background. so CRIT PLS

looks very space-marinish. It took me a second to realize he's holding his helmet in his hand....it almost looks like it's just his kneepad or somehting. The armor detailing is cool, I think the part that bugs me the most is the head. I think making it smaller would make him more menacing and taller looking....and maybe give him more of an expression?

hey clod. i think this is one of the best from you. you seem to be improving. i agree w/the above post. i think if you picked a light source (something i need to work on), you could define the character more. right now, there is just an overwehlming sense of red and gold. also, if you are posting to get crits, choose a different background color...one that is not similar to the dominant color on your character. doing this will make the image easier to read. i would use some reference for the face...and really study it...try to get the facial proportions right. i applaud your diligence as this is a very detailed peice. keep it up.:chug:
