Just wanted to know if there were any "actually good" tutorial sites. because the sites i went on were "mediocre" and didnt teach me much. [ teacher from last year reccommended them to me. boo. ]. also i wanted to know some tips on shading and whatnot. im just way too used to Traditional media. when it comes to digi media im not as good. need help.

ummm...
could u post the links... that the teacher gave you. im curious onto how they could be mediocre.
For shading you know its just using a darker color of the main color your using. So basically ifyour choosing the right color, its probably how you are applying it.
I know when I usually shade, I set my brush to low opacity. (this is when I shade in ps.) chose the color i want to shade with. and go over till it looks right to me. In Painter, I just choose the color as well, but this is where its a matter of preference. in water color, i used the water brush tool. to blend my colors.
just experiment with your the tools you have. until you find what works best for you. and
post the pic, of what you want to color.. maybe that will help us see, where your true problem lies.

Dile. i am NOT lazy. i just do not like Digital art. i am starting to experiment with it though. it is a little different. i love being physical with my work. ( traditional art ). with digital media i just feel secluded.
