Hi!

Some background story first :)

Almost two years ago, I registered to this forum to start working on a portfolio for an Industrial Design college application portfolio. And after about 8 months of drawing in the little spare time I had (of school and work), I came up with a portfolio full of things like this:

Some cool stuff. Some crap and an overall lot of cheating ;)

I did make it into college (thank god) and I just finished my second semester yesterday. It was one year of 24/7 amazingly interesting and fun work. I was able to learn so much but am exhausted never the less. I put up a collection online, where I kind of document what I do in my creative courses. If you're interested in what Industrial Design studies can be like (I am at the Joanneum College in Austria), feel free to check it out here: http://mud.ladaponte.com/work

And of course I want to post some examples of some of the stuff I've been working on:

Working on a random "speed" shape:

Sketching chrome and other comparable surfaces:

And trying to render lots of materials:

Trying to improve rendering glossy black paint:

Allright. I have learned so much in the past year, and now I have a lot of free time to apply all this to more personal projects (rather than rendering the same box over and over again ;)). So I hope to get some stuff done and post things here from time to time. Hope some of you are interested even though this is quite different from the concept art stuff that is normaly posted here.

Excellent stuff, your marker rendering are top notch, great sense of sleekness to the design. These really work for you, Same goes to ure lines, very swooshy and stylish.

Implenting these into some great designs will work wonders. Good stuff.
Andy.
