Ok dang it,
I've got to ask cause I don't know,
what/how do folks in the forums attach stuff at the bottom of their posts, like links to CA sketchbooks, web pages, all that?
Am I missing someplace where you enter the stuff and it appears whenever you post, or do folks just copy and past the html each time they post or reply?
"a secret code? ...mysterious scribblings?"
- Pink Floyd The Wall (the movie) flashback, sorry.
Like I said, I'm new.
I don't know much,
go ahead, laugh,
then tell me the secret before it drives me mad. :xpld:
Thanks,
-Na
Also; any other new folks with dumb, obvious or otherwise embarrassing questions, feel free to join in,
...or am I the only one :nohope:

I think its in the USERCP link at the top of your screen. Then edit signature.

Hey Nallen Welcome to CA. :)
Just go to 'User CP' top of page on the left. Then under 'Settings and Options' go to 'Edit Signature'. You will see a box just like when you post replys or pics. Type anything you want to be your signature. You can also go to the little Earth Blue ball with the link symbol, Click, and Paste your Sketchbook link in there. You have to go to your Sketchbook page and Highlight the address and Ctrl Copy, the Ctrl paste in the Url. This is how you do it. ;)

Like a fool I accidentally added a poll to my sketchbook thread (just hit the wrong link in a spasmotic moment of confusion... no excuse)
I typers some stupid junk in because I could not go back or undo my reckless click, now I see it every time I look at my SB and I hate it.
Is there any way to remove a poll or to stop seeing it at the top of a SB?
The easy answer is "just start a new SB" isnt it??
Well, just thought I'd ask,

cant you edit the first post were the poll is and remove it?? i dont remember if there is a remove poll option because i dont believe i've ever used the poll in this particular forum...but you can try that. scroll back to the very first post and somewhere there should be an edit button.
if not maybe one of the mods can remove it for you. dunno what else you could do.

Thanks for help with the previous questions, turns out Davi went and invented some super-mojo script that allws him to destroy unwanted polls.
Hooray!!!
How do you get a star rating??
This is not particularly a big deal to me, but I am growing curious about the star rating thing, I have rated myself a couple of times and nothing ever shows up?
My poor little sketchbook doesn't have any stars. I love it just the same, but I wonder, is it just cuz nobody else voted?
Should I be asking kids to rate me all the time?
Also, some folks seem to get really pissed about someone 'giving them one star and bringing their average down' and this sort of thing...
Is there a way to see how many stars you have been rated and if someone is ratiing you ...badly??? (giving you more or less stars than you think you deserve)
It just seems weird that people would complain about "somebody" giving them a bad rating, when some folks (like myself) aint even got no ratings. And they are ultimately just a reflection of others opinions... I mean It's not like anyone is distributing cash to people with 5 star threads ...right?
It's weird. Am I missing something in the User CP? a star checker or rating monitor or star-to-cash converter or something?

Don't vote yourself, update often and earn it, dawg!

Hey nallen its not the fact that people are giving artist one star ratings. its the fact that someone or some people are just going around rating down people without giving any critiques to reasons why the artist deserves one star rating. If people would give quality feedback to why an artist possibly deserves a 1 star ratings, then i'm all about it. But this is not the case so I understand those who are pissed about this, myself included.

Darktwin, thanks for explaining,
So its about the lack of any kind of feedback or reasoning along with the one star ratings...
Yea, that would be annoying.
