Yet another design for a shirt I came up with the other day, hope you all like it. Im trying to show how an mc weaves an image of their city/urban environment in their verses, and tried to communicate the 'flow' of his lyrics. The real one is about 2x as big I think. Also Im not sure if I like the roughness of the figure but I havent decided if I want to rework it. C&C appreciated!

A nice idea, maybe you should get rid of the other arm. If you clean it up a little I think it could look pretty good

i dunno if thats vector.... it doesnt. if its not, use vector... use reference. find a pic of a dj, look at buildings.. i think your idea is cool, and you really have a nice start.... since its just a shirt design and not a print 3 colors is cool... but play around with more content... it looks a little jumbled. get those details down pat. the circles are becoming waaay overdone, but its still a nice start...

graphic design in my experience is all about sharpness and clean line.... hence vector... so i would recommend illustrator... just try it out. if you don't wanna use it..... just clean those lines up and refine the aspects that need be... not all of it has to be perfect, but at least one part needs to be convincing.

good luck with it... keep goin.

Unbalanced. Needs a unifying graphic or something in the middle, or you need to rescale/reposition the guy vs the buildings.

Graphic design is not a style or technique... i have seen that the term is very miss-used so, here are a couple of definitions that i think are accurate:

About's Desktop Publishing Guide writes that graphic design is:

The process and art of combining text and graphics and communicating an effective message in the design of logos, graphics, brochures, newsletters, posters, signs, and any other type of visual communication. Today's graphic designers often use desktop publishing software and techniques to achieve their goals.

Leyline writes:

Graphics design is the creation of visual media, usually for marketing. Business cards, logos, publications, brochures, postcards or mailings, invoices, and books are all products of graphics design.

the connection to with the mic and the city is really off 0_o and anatomy/pose on the DJ else it looks quite ok. the city looks rather "clip-art" though 0_o

that is much better really! but still the grey connection with the mic and the city is still off in my opinion, would look better with a straight line, instead of splitting it up into small sections that is fadied until they are unseen (thats what it looks like 0_o )

looks sick man... The only other thing I'd say is, you might want to loose the second arm. Dunno what it is, but something about it is odd. Maybe it's because it's too straight, but I think the design would look rockin without it altogether.

looks good though.

I think the arm looks fine ^__^ Perhaps implying more that it is in front of him by extending the orange highlights up his arm?

Ill work with the highlights and see where it goes, update soon.
