View Full Version : What to wear?

If you could dress anyway you wanted, what would you wear? Just curious. There seem to be alot of periods in time with "good fashion" that alot of people seem to like (such as the 1940's) and I would think some wear not based in reality. But if one decided to walk outside their house/apartment/loft/mansion/cardboard box with some crazy outfit on they might be looked upon society as a lunatic. Especially with what I chose.

That my friends, is what I would wear virtually every day if I got half the chance. So awsome...>:D Since this is an art forum why not draw what outfit we choose...yeah!

WTF dude, it's summer. you don't have school. and you live in California. go outside and enjoy life, draw some people on the streets or the beach, and mack on some girls (or boys if that is your preference). Just get off the damn comPOOter and stop spamming the lounge!!!!

Usually I wear what the hell I want anyway, so long as it looks good and flatters my body. Like the other week I went to town shopping with one of my mates and wore my long red pashmina scarf as a skirt.

I plan to cosplay as her as soon as I get enough time (and belts...)
AmishCommy: Agreed. :)
<----is painting on PS. That's constructive enough, right?

OK, Quicksilver may have saved this thread from being a bash-fest.
That being said, you are quickly making yourself less than appreciated by constant lounge flatulence. The way this is going, I'm fully expecting a request for dinner suggestions.
Step away from the lounge.

I happen to think this is a cute idea for a thread.
Well, if I still had the body for it, I'd dress up like I used to for clubs: boots, post-apocalyptic accessories, corsets, goggles, and the like. I'd have a mohawk, too.
But, now I'm too old and fat so I'd just look like a jackass. I think I'll just dress in womens' business suits instead....

Providing I also had magic powers and/or a team of tailors at my disposal, I'd just design my own outfits on a daily basis, completely fitting with my artistic tastes at the moment. There'd be a few days here and there where I'm sure I'd look like something Kingdom Hearts coughed up. >>

I don't think theres that much wrong with this thread... ?
I would like to dress up very elegantly in long dresses. But that's not practical, so I like mixing things. I often wear skirts over my pants.
I just wear what I want to wear mostly. I wore my pyjama pants to school once, but I must say I have very cool pyjama pants.
Sometimes I make my own clothing, I made myself a sort of corset thing (but not really), and long darkpurple baggy pants, and they are kind of my favorite clothes to wear.
Oh well whatever.. I would like to wear a really beautiful long dress with a lot of layers, just to feel princess like :P and when I wear it also take a few pictures to use as reference later :P. That was my girly side talking. ^^

Which, to me at least, is just as yummy if not more than the raver cliché attire. Again, yum. ;)
IF I could wear anything I'd want, reguardless of body type or $ to get / make the clothing, it would probably be my own designs. Simple but mostly efficient. Pockets!.. Pockets are good. My friends always tease that I'm a purse ginda girl... Bulges are not always cool is all I think ;)
So clean cut, sturdy and lasting, with a discreete accent (texture/color/structure) somewhere. Great, now I have all these ideas flashing behind my eyes and NEED to draw!
Quinster, it's true that the 1940's had great formal wear. Even Calvin Klein had one of his whole collection based on this kind of suits (but transfered to the womens' wardrobe). Anyhow, why don't you use try to design some of your own stuff too ? Save this thread and be creative.

Either:
Full plate armor
Chainmail/leather armor
Pinstripe suit and bowler hat
Evil Emperor style cloak
That is of course everyone doesn't try to laugh/beat on me when they see me.

Flat cap, snorkel parka, jeans, skater shoes (I've never skated my entire life)... My favourite ensemble... I love flat caps (or poor boy's hat) and snorkel parkas... Heck, I'd wear a fedora if I can... Too bad only black people and women can only wear them gracefully without looking like:

Since I get crazy with art I would settle for something conservative but very expensive, and accesorize with an Aston Martin or Bugatti Veyron.
Unless I'm in a muscle car mood, in which case I'd dress like La Sexorcisto era Rob Zombie.

I was thinking Zoot suit but then i realized that zoot suits really only look good on short people and im not short. so now im thinking worn Suede bomber jacket and suede wide brim fedora. A nice pair of worn in rugged work boots, swat pants (maybe in a khaki color instead of black), 2 gun belts, one Lee van Cleef style for the left hand the other standerd thigh holster for the right (2 Colt 1860 calvery model revolvers), one of my random T-shirts. If it was to hot for the jacket id wear a photographer vest.
yea im weird :p
