Drawing from mirror

Is drawing from mirror like drawing from life? Or is it more like drawing from photo? Can drawing from mirror be a substitute to drawing from life? Sometimes it is easier for me to draw myself rather than persuading someone to stay still enough time.

I think it is life when drawing from a mirror because ur still drawing from a 3d world so to speak. Just as long as your mirror doesnt distort you, then you should be ok. I tend to use my dads shaving mirror although its tricky because its a little too small lol.

Yea it is really from life. Regardless of what angle the pane of glass is on, it won't distort like a picture will if tilted if you know what I mean.

I recently bought a full torso wall mirrors, something like a metre by half a metre though I'm not sure. It certainly gets the job done and I'm happy to have it.
