Im no expert, but it seems hard to see whats what. Is it a turret on a tank or is it on a grassy surface? If you can, find an apple or round object to see how light hits its surface because ur round turret in terms of light is unbalanced. Also how powerful is this cannon, Its seems very large so will the laser be very powerful causing recoil or is it just a simple fine beam. Finally i think itll be a good idea to have a different coloured background, the white seems to dettatch from the image. like I said im no expert but i hope that helps.

Your figures are also out of perspective.

I don't know where all that glow came from, but you may want to make everything less sketchy before you try to finalize it.

I think if you sharpen the lines it would improve the drawing 100%. I think you have an excellent start though - but like someone said very sketchy.
