Hey guys! This is the very first time i've posted pictures on Conceptart, but i have been lurking around the forums for a while now. I've finally picked up the courage to post some of my pictures, but compared to you awesome guys, these are rubbish! lol.

I would like LOADS of crits please so i know where i can improve.

Thanks for posting your stuff John! Here's some basic suggestions: First, practice your stick figures. Anytime you're doodling in class or on a napkin, set out little action shots with your stickies, make little stick figure theatres everywhere. This will help you with your posing and motion. Second, make a serious effort to learn anatomy, either formally or on your own, it's the best thing you can do for yourself. Otherwise, keep dreaming up cool shit to put on your paper and have a great time doing it!

I love the movement that you have in all of them but i feel that the anatomy is not quite right in them. I love the colours in your coloured piece and all of your work shows some grat imagination however i feel that there is a lot more that you can learn regarding shading and posture etc that would really help you advance.

Interesting stuff, John the One. Looks like you want to do anime, PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong. In terms of the images themselves, I agree with RocknOats that you need to work on your poses in general, or at least on the figures and how their muscles interact with their bones.

In terms of anime, you have to remember that the extremely stylized way of drawing that it promotes was originally based off of life drawing anyway, which proves to be an excellent learning tool for all artists, be they anime fans or not.

RocknOats - Thanks for your crits. You are right and i thank you for what you said. I can see that i need much more improvement on their poses and their anotomy. I'm working on life drawing at the moment and i'm reading a bloody great big anotomy book, so that should help eventually :)

Quiksilva - Thanks man! I'm glad you like them, and you're also right about the anotomy and their positions. I'll work on that!

Panda - Thank you. Like Quiksilva and RocknOats, i will do my best and study hard on anotomy and do loads more life drawings... which i might actually stick on this eventually lol :)

Here are some more quick sketches as well, enjoy :)

the biggest problem I see with your stuff is that the heads are out of proportion, either being to large or too small....

Ok, cool, thanks Capt Underoo. Now that i look at them, i can see that something is wrong with their heads. Thanks :D
