Hello!
This is my first message. I want to show you one of my latest paintings. I use pencil and Photoshop 6. I know I´m not a master (or mistress) but drawing/painting is my passion. I hope time will give me enough experience to reach a really good level.

It's only a red X. Brinkster doesn't support direct linking.

cassandra, brinkster no soporta "hotlinking" al ser un web hosting gratuito :)
por eso la imagen no se ve. si quieres enseñárnosla, pon un link como el que has puesto a tu página pero a la imagen, sin los tags IMG.

Holy god! *digs a hole, crawls in it and dies* That is a good picture! I mean, I see some errors in it, yes, but.....I don't know, that's kind of what makes it so good in my eyes. The figure seems impossibly twisted, her legs are off, but that is giving me the strangest feeling, it looks like she's up to something wicked.

Nice work, Cassandra.
I've checked your site too. Cool stuff indeed and I see (or it seems) you've been working on models for games too.
I've one general comment for all your digital work: try, for the sake of trying, to lessen the smoothing on your pieces. I understand it's a style and can also be a habit (I have it sometimes too). You might find that the "roughness" of some of the strokes you did will enhance the life-likeness of a subject. Too much smoothing often gives an obvious digital look to a picture.
In other words, unless you work only with airbrush, try not to go back and smooth the strokes, and if you need to correct something, just paint over it. This will also give it depth.
In the beginning, it'll look awkward to you, but over time, you might enjoy it more and more.
Just my €0.02 :)

Hello, Tegehel.
You´re right. I smooth everything. And I know. It´s a habit I´m trying to correct. I don´t really want to have a very rough style, but I hate the affected look I always give to my works. Also, my sketches are much more dynamic than my finished works.
I have to practice a lot, and try to forget that bad habits...
Thanks for your advice :)
I checked your site, really good work. I like the subjets and style :chug:

Wonderful!
It looks like she's dancing in order to cast a spell. I think thats what I like about the gypsy mystique; dancing and singing is their medium for magic. The painting portrays it nicely. I would like to see another one like this but with raven black hair.
But that's just me. :D

Hello, Aikisean!
Thanks for the compliments. Actually, I made another version of the picture with black hair! But I chose the blonde one because I like that "albino look".
