Here is a tank I drew a few weeks ago. This is about as final as anything can get. It has been put into stone by a guy I know. The image is raised from the granite's polished surface. There is no ink so this thing will last forever. ...the collection grows...

Its very hard to see.. theres like so much mega detail you cant even make out whats going on unless you stare at it. Plus its very small. I'm sure it looks a lot better in real life, perhaps get a better/bigger picture of it.
From what I can see though you put a lot of time into it and there is DEFINITELY a lot of detail.

I agree with it being hard to see the detail. My big question is why you put this in stone, literally?

Now I know I'm not the only one who's unfamiliar with the technique of putting a drawing in a stone or raising it or whatchamacallit, so please share it, and try posting a bigger picture

I'll try to post a larger picture later. It probably will be tomorrow before I can get to it.
This guy I know developed his own method for putting images into stone. He built the machine that does it. There are others that do this sort of thing for gravestones and such but nowhere hear as detalined as this. I saw a picture of a leopard he did this to and you could see depth in the image. You could almost count the hairs on its head and you could see depth in it's eyes. It's pretty cool. He can do any image.
He calls is microcrystaline expansion. (I think that's right anyway) In effect the crystals in the granite are broken so that they are no longer clear and also that are raised slightly from the surface of the granite. He has been constantly improving the process and I've seen some of the pieces he's done.
Anyway, I thought it would look cool, and it does. He doesn't really charge that much to do it and it doesn't take any time to do. I like them. I could see about getting anyone else's images to him if you want. Just let me know.
I'll post a bigger picture of my tank when I can.

The details here are just overwhelming. I can see the tank, it looks very creative, almost like a head. Cool weapons on the front by the way.

This has a nice Geoff Darrow meets Warhmammer 40K kind of vibe. I dig it.
