the contrast between eyes and the rest was my idea on that pict. I tried carefully do that pict with as less details/elements as posible.
In your pict I like the colours, like the head and ears of bunny and that he looks cute. Don't like how you used the tekstures on the blue surfaces. I generally use tekstures not often, and use them in layer with low opacity(mostly 20 , 30%) and I prefere using tekstures done by myself.-(but it's only my presonal liking ;)

TomteOfDoom- I haven't seen many of your works but I like your picts more and more. Is it possible to see more of your stuff somewhere on the web?

corbeledg I use painter IX, pastels and pens mostly, set up to bleed and run into each other. Don't need to switch tools just to blend :^^:

You have alot to work on, don't be offended, aren't too many people who are born with a paint brush in their mouth ;)
Anatomy is off, composition is rather boring and static, and for god's sake - don't shade with black, use a darker tint, or the color complementary to your light.

Yeap, I agree that they are different in subject matter, but they have got some similarieties like roughness in linework and in colours.
I think that you succeeded in keepind the character/type of tradiction japanese woodblock graphics in your works, (with maybe two exceptions - the manga like eyes in the first and in the second picture). I especially like the scenes with battles,with large numbers of characters. My favourite is the grey with black linework, and also the little pict with zombie.

I yahoo'd some pictures for reference. The spider I used is actually a sun spider, which is really a seperate kind of arachnid that only resembles a spider. Plus, I posted it several days after the supposed deadline. I'm such a rule breaker. :P
