View Full Version : Can't seem to draw the right face for the body help?

Unfotunatly my scanner is not working right now but i was wondering if anybody has any tutorials about drawings faces because whenever i seem to sketch faces they never look right....

Oh...hoohooo. I've got that problem too. I think that a lot of artists (well...non-practiced) ones have that problem as well.
Look in an anatomy book and draw skulls. Lots of them. Once you can draw a fairly good looking skull from memory, proceed to draw skil (muscles etcetra) over the skull, making sure to get the depressions (etcetera) right. When doing this, first draw the skull, then the outline of the skin, then work on filling it in. Pretty soon you'll be able to draw a face without the skull.
I'm working on it, and I know that it's a fairly tried and true method.
Also, work on odd angles as well. I know that a lot of people only draw from a couple angles, and when an odd angle comes up, it's VERY hard to get it right.
