Hey everyone! Denny from Sweden here. :swepimp:
I'm a guy that has been drawing, more or less, since 2003. I've mostly been drawing characters the mainstream anime-way so let me hear the "eeeeewwww"-chorus? :D
I've decided to start drawing more realism so I might get better this decade. So is there someone like me who's been trying to convert from anime to something else and succeeded? What was your main issues to get past?
I think I'm going to start with still life, is it a good choice concidering I've been drawing characters most of the time?
Is it better to concentrate on one thing at a time? Learning shape first, then lighting, or work at all things at the same time?
Is it better to work, doing alot of roughs, or concentrate on more refined stuff?
Let me hear your personal opinions. :D
---------------------------------------------
I've heard alot of people recommending "Drawing with the right side of the brain". http://www.drawright.com/. I guess I should get it huh?
---------------------------------------------
My goal in life is to end up in the game industry, attending to www.playgroundsquad.com in august. I wonder if anyone from the same industry just happen to have some tips as an artist. I don't care if you're a texturer, animator or concept artist. :perv:
Sorry if you guys get way too many threads like this. :dur:
