6 Sci-Fi designs

After a very bad weather this w-e I decided to do some Sfi-Fi stuff.
I'm a big Star Wars fan and it's not an easy thing to abstract that influence.

So tell me what can I improve ? To make more original stuff.

These are very nice. I don't see a heavy Star Wars influence, although the last piece is very similar to the ships in Phantom Menace. That's the only one I have a problem with, some of the perspective is a little off. Otherwise, these are all real cool concepts.

bone i like your concepts and designs

i really dont think they way you execute your pieces is doing justice do your designs

they blend into the BG 's and the white highlights only seperate them to a certain extent. its not like they get lost---but they could pop out so much more --giving them the attention they deserve

i would have the figures skin be a lighter value than the BG and i would push the contrast of the highlights and shadows within the skin---you could do just as easily with COLOR on multiply layers too

ok,so i'm new here and i registered just to be able to comment on ur pictures,coz they're so friggin awesome!
the corridor thingy is the best,i feel like i get sucked into the picture.the perspective is awesome and very realistic!
and the rest of the pictures are also original enough to don't get u a copyright case by lucas arts;)

These are great man, they don't look at all like star wars, if thats what you were reffering to. The first and second one are my faves. Here's an idea my friend had, why not use lightgloves, and/or other light weapons. Maybe you can expand on those premises, I bet you can cook up something good!

very cool designs.

they could be jazzed up with a bit more contrast (I agree with tyboogie), using grey markers or similar. combined with the highlights/white already there, it would really make them "pop".

Yes I could add more contrast, but I spend only 5-10 mn for the color. It's just to get an idea. I'll do a darker background for the next ones.

If you don't see star wars references, well... great :)

How do you get that fabulous texture on your back ground. Is it paper or computer. Ps. love your stuff.
