These are all sketches done from photo sources. I havent done much figure drawing recently so i decided to do a little for practice.

Im afraid i cant post the source pic's for comparison, but any comments would be appreciated.

They look pretty good, you may want to try doing some different approaches to the drawings, like how you start, and what not. My approach is to get the gesture, then work from the inside out doing details. Also you can do things like drawing from the shoulder, or just drawing values-forgetting about the dawing. Anything to get you looking or working different and getting some more energy into your sketches! Hehe, now i am going to go take my own advice:)

Thanks a lot for the ideas

I normally do a rough outline loosely, then smooth up the lines for lineart (well duh) or block in some areas and then details. Going straight in on shades i get proportions all wrong - just practice?

i can usually make my figures look right proportion wise, but they seldom look like the person im actually drawing. (enough to see that it's drawn from them if you know them, not enough to recognise them in a line up)

Are there any particular areas that anyone has found differ the most between people?
