thank's guys and gals.
ah.heng - the banners are something i collected a few years back. basically put up links to artists i like. I know very few from the list. unfortunatly, Shawn ye is not one of them.
I have a few more banners i saved over the last few years to add to the list. and a hell of a lot of new peeps to add to the buddies list (all thanks to CA)
so if you're a buddy of mine and have a banner, let me know so i can link to you.

You beautiful beast. I really dig the navigation graphic on the left, it's a coherent piece of badass designery in itself. I'll give a more in-depth clickthrough when I get some time bud. My site is due for a fucking updated design too... I'll make sure to toss your link up.

Hey, nice site - simple and effective. The artwork is contains is good too, I especially like your caricatures!
However I do have one point which you should address if you want your site to be as user-friendly as possible - change the colour of the default font.
It's white at the moment, which, on a black background, is maximum contrast - yet your navigation link images are in a much darker brown, making them recede instead of stand out.
I'd change the white font into something matching the nav font colour. Furthermore, you could increase the size and contrast of the links just to make them stand out more, so people know exactly where to click.
At the moment the user's eye is getting dragged to the (unnecessary?) text rather than going straight to the links and art.
If this is a portfolio site first and foremost, you should also consider having the art thumbnail list as the default page, since I doubt many people will actually want to read that stuff if they're there to see your work. You can ignore this last point if it's just a general site, not job-oriented, or a blog site or something.
Nice work though, bookmarked!

Hello, Arcady! Thank you so much, I had a great time browsing your site and saw very new side of you and many more beautiful work, unknown before for me. Although I like your half naked figure greeting visitors right when they less expect it, I wish you put one of your woman painting there, or oil, or combination of three or two painting. Because frankly speaking boogie night comics is an exception between other of your work, not the main mood there, most of the art creates very different atmosphere, more like an opposite, pondering, observing, lyrical, sensual, not wild at all, despite lively colors. But that's not important.
The "back" button is not totally clear to understand intuitively, well, for me. I was wondering where it will take me after I press it. Main, Menu would be better, I think,
Everything worked very fast.
Kind of pity that not all icons of artwork are showed at once when I enter art section. I thought you didn't put your watercolors and oil at all, I wanted to go complain to you, but finally saw the bar, I didn't see it right away, I don't know why, maybe it looks like a part of design too much, almost invisible.
So I wish you put your strongest sections first to grab an attention and not allow your viewer to go anywhere: watercolor, watercolor in park, oil, digital (oh, such great images, I enjoyed them so much, very interesting and successful attempt to make them look like watercolor and traditional), caricatures, sketches in pencils ( they are very nice, pity that is so few of them), textural ( very nice designs for children room walls), traditional, editorial, boogie night, children book illustrations, in this order, I think.
You used very small blind text for buttons, that's not very convenient for viewer and they are very close to each other. Even more, they are less obvious, viewer need to search for them and they look dull and more modest than news text. That was a bit upsetting.
Logo and design looks great and actually pretty strict comparing to your carefree self portrait. Style is not strict, a bit volatile.
Art is beautiful, speaks for itself. I'm very glad to see new images there.
I had very awesome experience with this one

Didn't get it right away, so it was even more like a miracle when it suddenly reappeared in front of my eyes. Such a great feeling to see the figure suddenly. Thanks for that.

This one is such a beautiful painting and design and ready to use logo. Such a strict beauty, gold.
http://www.arkadyroytman.com/web3point0/Galleries/3-FArt/watercolors/wcFig021.jpg Like this one very much, great composition and people are so alive and real. As in many , actually most of your drawing and painting, everything is very real, full of life,
Love your digital so very much, hope to see more of them. Like the caricatures too, mostly as an art. :)
Well, that's all.
Thanks it was pleasure.

Although I dont like dark sites so much, yours was easy on the eyes; Very fast loading. On your links section, I could not see the banners. I am positive it has something to do with my ad blocker.:D I saw the non banner links alright. Good job.

damn bro, those are some sweet pieces in your fantasy art section! Now take that and make it x20.
also, something about the front page isn't doing it for me. Dunno, isn't really, hrmmm... professional(?) as the rest

Cool, nice and clean. There's a frame that appears in Firefox on the right hand side of the updates and resume sections though. Other than that, solid stuff mate.

thanks for the crits everyone. I'll take everyting into consideration and make the revisions in the next few weeks. I've also set up the Blog (http://arkadyroytman.com/blog/blog.html), but there is no link to it yet cause there is nothing on it. It will be like my CA sketchbook. and the goal is to update it together with the website. keep me motivated.
well now that this baby is almost done that really left nothing to do but to make new art. I started a quicky last night and stopped before i fucked it up any further, but then i could not sleep most of the night thinking about painting. This, along with all the great work from you guys has been a great kick in the ass.
THANK YOU, EVERYONE!!!!
