I knew it was the Jason Chan issue , but lo and behold...featured artist article before Jason is..."Rising Star" Mike Corriero. He's got a 4 page write up in there!

Congrats man. Your pieces turned out pretty good in print too, particularly "Keeper of the Fields".

Your in good company in that issue: Brom, BARoNTiERi, Wayne Barlowe...

It was a hell of a nice suprise to see you two in there, especially since I've slept with both of you. Congrats!

Sleeping your way to the top, strych9ine?

Didn't he do that already? Last I heard, he's making plans on sleeping his way back down to the bottom.

Im not in issue 4, but i got one page in issue 5 in Reader EXpose - send some stuff in, guys!!! - and they were kind enough to use one of my paintings on the backside of a poster next to Melaine Delon, Daryl Mandryk and Adi Granov. I felt a bit silly, when i saw the company i was in (me little noob next to the big shots) and i have it on my wall now as a constant reminder of how much i have to learn still:rendered:
Its a really great magazine btw - tons of tuts and stuff from the pros!
Concrats, MIKE!

I thought for certain this had already been brought up (now I think I was mistaken), but I was pretty stoked to see that fuzzy, jutting jaw, as well.

Congrats on some nice exposure, Mike.

I frankly don't know why CA members can't dominate this magazine, turn it into a free advertisement for CA.

Yeah, and I see on my list that you're next... this will be a lot more pleasant than the last few dudes. :perv:

Cough... Feature in Issue 1. Burp... Issue 3 cover... ahem.... tutorial in issue 5. Disappears into obscurity as a result....

However, I take this as an opportunity to promote my chum and fellow Buxton resident Duddlebug, who's been in a few of them with life drawing tut's, fairytale features and is shortly to be doing some stuff involving Painter. And incidentally, if anyone fancys submitting to ImagineFX... do!! They want to hear from people with work to show.

For the sake of all that is holy, I hope the manga articles either die or actually have talented artists giving the tutorials. One of them in issue 4 was particularly brutal...

For the love of all that's hairy, Posh... I thought I was just out to lunch. I was certain everyone else knew about your involvement in the earlier issues and I just missed the post that lauded your laudible laudings (like so much else I miss). I was thinking, Damn! Posh did the cover of the last one! How did I miss the post giving him his props? Cheers to you, brother!

Of course, I can't figure out how to get hold of those back issues. I tried going to the site, but they only seem to offer the next issue.

Spank.

Hey Mike, guys.
New site with all mag details on the way (1-2 months I predict).
Anyone who can't get hold of the mag, email me and I'll do my best to help.
And anyone who wants to be featured/has a great idea for a workshop, get in touch!
Cheers!
