Everything seems to just blend into other parts. It's hard to make out without really scrutinizing it. The anatomy is well off. The wings certainly don't look like feathers. The only part I like are the skulls really.

My eyes start at the wings, work down to the dude then his tail (it's a tail right?) leads my eyes off the page. Maybe have the tail wrap around the column and pointing up to him. But well... it's an old piece so best to move on.

There just doesn't seem to be a story to it. I just can't "get lost" in it. But hey, it's an old work so I'm sure you could do better now.

Hmm... Just checked your site. You have better works there, why post this one?

Oh one more thing.... your sig looks ALMOST like Chris Achilleos' sig. Just thought I'd point that out ;]

nice points. everything you said seems correct except about the wings and "tail". i didnt intend the wings to have feathers, just kinda like an old dried leaf feel to them. what u think is a tail is a cape that originates from the right side of his chest. but i do know what yur saying about it leading yur eye off the page. i wish i curled that a lil more so the viewer wont get led off the page.

im actually having a hard time knowing what the majority of people like from my artwork. most of the time if anyone has something to say about any of the pieces its always negative and rarely positive so i have a hard understanding of which path i should choose. i just tend to do art that feels comfortable at the time so i can keep my sanity lol.

thanks for the heads up on the signature, only thing i seen that resembles my signature is the anarchy sign and the anarchy comics logo. i never seen any of Chris Achilleos' stuff. do u happen to have a link?

Like I said... ALMOST ;]

It's not something I'd worry about though.

As for people always being negative to your work, take onboard what they're saying. Ask exactly what they don't like about it. You'll learn a lot by listening to people, no matter how harsh they are.

Anways, keep practicing and study HARD.

phew, i wasnt sure how "almost" it was heh. thats one creative piece he has there too.

yeah when i first came to forums i just would get so mad over what people would say, but these days i take every word someone says to heart and build from their crits. however, im still gettin over the fact that not everyone can be pleased lol. ah well.

thanks for looking out :)

oh and im not much on posting the pic cuz it tends to just take up time loading but ill post from now on.
