Wounded Samurai

Fairly quick painting. based on a Kenshin episode and incorporated my samurai character in it. Crits and comments welcomed

Looks nice. You picked quite an awkward pose. I would probably show the face (with him gritting his teeth). As it is he looks like he's inspecting the blood on the floor.

His hands are drawn a little weird but I won't go into that.

On the sword handle, there's a tangent line with his thumb. Just makes it look like that's part of his thumb showing through. Also, the other hand.. you would see the inside of his sleeve.

Just my opinions.

i agree with krayz on the hands. i think thats the main problem with this piece cuz i like everything else, although now that i look at it, maybe some highlight on the blood would pop it out more and make it look like liquid. i'll try to give some crits on the hands in order to help. his right hand looks somewhat chubby and round, add some knuckles I'm sure that should help that issue. the left hand looks overall good except that middle finger. instead of having the tip of the finger bending towards the viewer id make that line just a fingernail as if the top of the finger was touching the floor. just alot of lil things. i hope i helped!
