To anyone applying... remember to account for EA Tiburon's "cost of living" adjustment to any salary you may be considering. IF, for example, you're in the Bay area and are hoping for something around 70 - 80K, expect an offer from Tiburon in around the 50 - 60K range.

When I interviewed with them for an Art Director position they said they could make me "very happy" after I had told them what my salary expectations were. It wasn't until 5 interviews later when I was in Orlando sitting in the HR office when I found out that they do "cost of living" adjustments. JOY!

That being said the people I met and the facilities were top-notch.

... good luck everyone!

Philip Straub-Concept Art Director for Tiburon here...

We are looking for top quality talent to join my fully staffed team of guys that have tons of experience in games and film. I currently have two Disney layout artists working in the team as well as some seriously talented guys who can do everything from animation to protoyping to matte paintings. It is a fast paced fun environment that allows every artist to really try thier hand at a number of styles and disciplines. In addition...this is NOT a Concept Art job that will have anyone doing texturing later on in a projects cycle...it is full time Concept and the team is looked to for thier ability to paint AND think creatively.

...and we pay very competitively within the industry..rent and housing is much cheaper here than LA so your buck does go a bit longer....and no state tax!

Keep the folio's comin..Thanks!
