So, I recently started illustrating bible stories in different styles, to branch out from my common art style.
So this is the story of Jonah, made to look like Hokusai's "The Great Wave", and other japanese prints.

Some of the curly things on the water are a little blocky... if it's not too late you should smooth em out. It's very Asian as well, kinda cool.
Keep it up!

Thanks for the comments, this was hand drawn then scanned and painted digitally. I would have loved to paint it traditionally except, I dont know how to paint with watercolors. someday.
Pixeldragoon, I see what you are talking about with the 'blocky' lines, the way I normally draw is very, blocky. So those instances of sharp edges was me reverting back to my normal style...
Glad you all like.

Your reinterpretation is very good. The fish looks especially menacing.

Colours are very nice and true to the original, and the monster is just sweet :)
