so far from what I can tell, the island does not look like its in the water, looks to me as if it were floating on air then sitting on water...all the shading and lighting just look like burn and dodge...my eyes isn't making a "whole" it just look like pieces...

I can't tell you how to fix anything, I personal suck at painting right now...

you can make the lights brighter

and I somekind of miss the details of the sketch in the painting

First, adjust levels in photoshop.

Make it darker and brighter.

The land just looks too foggy and gray right now.

Next, paint the water edges on top of the island.

Let if cover the receding parts with partial opacity so it looks like thats just shallows.

I'd give you more advice but i have to see what it looks like after that.

thank you Ashen and Infinit for your advices.
Ashen Wraith, I kinda get the Idea with shallows, water edges, etc., so I'll se what I can do.

Anyways, levels and brightening lights talk is right on the money!!! :) :) :)

Hey, nice update! now the water feels better, but you still dont touch
realism well, and thats mostly because the lineart.
but however, great job so far :)
