DEADLINE
SUNDAY, JUNE 11th
The way the deadline works: if deadline is on a Sunday and your image is posted on that Sunday 23:59 your local time it's a good entry.
In fact - as long there is Sunday somewhere on the planet your entry is ok. I will make the poll sometimes Monday afternoon my time (GMT +2) yet i'll have a look at the last entries.

EVENT MASCOT - The CA & MB Workshop Montreal
If things are going to be like the last workshops.. in the last day we'll make posters with works done during the crazy days, and people will start signing t-shirst and do marker tatoos and all.
We'll need a mascot for that event. And if you want to take part... rock this thread.
If you're comming - see you there.
Can be anything... just give it/him/her a name and a small description - so we know why.
Now... concept! :yayca:

Salvidor, the octopus from Montreal, finds it impossible to control his ink sac. He is haunted by a never-ending flow of oddly representational imagery wherever he goes.

He he. Boy, not many submitting for this one huh? Everyone must be at the workshop. Well, not that my guy here is worthy of being mascot for this amazing workshop that's coming up, but I was fooling around with the idea, and came up with this. Kind of liked it so, he gets posted.
The idea is that he's the imp, or muse or demon or whatever you want to call him that exists in all of us creative types. He's the inspiration and the frustration you feel. It's at his whim, weather your creative juices are going to flow or if he's just going to jam that pencil into the base of your brain stem and make it impossible for you to create anything you like.
Anyway, I had fun with this one. Haven't done a chow in quite a while.
Edit: Ah, octothreat, didn't see yours before I posted. Very cool!

Mike C.: Thanks man. You know what they say, everybody likes a massive black cock! :p
Jakkas: Those are pretty much the MB/CA colours, so i can't really take the credit for that.

Gonna throw in what I'm working on incase the poll is imminent... I probably should've started before the deadline, but hey... Was inspired by Mike's addition.
Still need to add/render some things but I'm about to cruise bedward, so if this stuff gets polled I'll just overwrite the hosted image with a bordered version in the morning.

MB Montreal Mascot
This mascot stands for aesthetic beauty and creativity, it symbolises the ability to manipulate life into an artistic outcome. It also represents the growth of all artists, a unified efficiency, and it has no single identity - only recognisable by a rooster mask.

Mike, dont mean to repeat what everyone has said already, but I am incredibly awed. That image is amazing, not only the design, but the mood and the colors, and shit...everything. I love it, and it's decorating my desktop at the moment. My fav of yours ever. Make more of these!

Mike, I think you nailed it man. I really dig this one, and after being at the workshop, I definately feel this represents it out of all of the attempts (which are also creative and well done). It seems to have some Android influence. Lovely -

Hehe oops, in all the Montreal excitement I forgot about the first CHOW I was gonna enter. :bashful: next one i swear!
Great work everyone (especially Mike and Cognition), this is gonna be a tough vote!
However, I think we can all agree on the real Montreal mascot. (http://www.projectsole.ca/montreal/P6120874.jpg):P
