Looks pretty good alti, i like the hands, the ghostly suggestion of like skeletal hands is cool, the sword looks good to.
My only quivers are on the actual ability to recognise some stuff. The white stuff around his head.. the back ones look goood, they looks like teeth or bones, but the front ones loose this and just look like blobs, more triangular shapes might help.. maybe not quite so long and dangly aswell.
Also i think it might look cool with a sugestion of a face, or head area within the robes/head gear, might bring the idea of a figure together better..
I like the mystly look to it tho, the smokey figure behind him (?), is kinda cool aswell.
Ty for posting. Andy.

Looks intresting but i think it could be pushed much more further. The black area of the face should be much longer, right now it kinda makes the head look short with that orangey shape thingy there. Think you should add some more to give a lil more info to the figure. Maybe a lil indication of a nose or some subtle features of the face.
Looking good but could be far better.

PHATandy > thanks man, thanks for the critic.
AshenWraith > photo manip ? i'd rather sell my soul to mc donalds.
Kresh> i agree the origional image should have gone further, so here it is further down the road.
thanks for pushing me abit further you guys.

I like how you defined the left hand just abit more its right at the point where i would have wanted it. As for the face area, i like the old image much better. I was thinking more like a hint of facial features beneath that yellow cluster. I feel like that part is missing from the new image. peace.

not too sure I like the eyeball lightning there it draws the viewer to the top right and keep you there when theres a lot of other nice stuff going on and not getting noticed like the left hand

1st one seemd to be much better imho. you couldnt exactly see which direction character is looking and that was cool, coz the whole head concept was more like 'unknown'. I could imagine that the thing is actually looking at you, that would come with pretty interesting hood cocnept as well. on the update my first thought was it look like a spooky biatch, and its very recycled design-wise.

I can't tell what's going on.
Now it looks like a photomanip with a sloppy painto\/er.
How about you paint a real background instead of this o\/erlaying garbage crap.
Then block in some real colors on this thing so it looks like some solid instead of ambigious black shadow with cofusing shapes.
Right now it just looks like you are trying to hide your shortcommings.

How about you start typing real v's instead of this \/ garbage?

Well, it looks like you're having fun with your brushes in photoshop and that's a good thing. I wouldn't post this in this section though, from what I can see it feels like you're not really quite finished with it yet. Keep pushing the shapes and forms and start bringing those shapes out. I'd start pushing the face a bit harder, right now it looks a bit too much like the character face from Scream and doesn't really fit the rest of the image. Keep at it!

All thught your shapes and ideas are interesting, I think you can still push this to a further level using the same basic techniques.
Perhaps is a much better idea to put this in the Sketches and WIP seccion or present an entire series ( 5 to 10) of this shape based concepts in the finished seccion.....just one,as interesting as it might be, is not enught to keep the viewer´s attention.
I personally preffer you to develop this further, make a huge series fo this drawings in the SB seccion and putting gradually more time to each piece... And after a while show your 30th or higher in the FF seccion.

Obviously because the v key is broken on that keyboard.
It doesn't hurt to use common sense, does it?

Here's comon sense for you. Find a V somewhere in the forum or on the internet. Copy, Paste. =p

Actually, I used to just reword things to avoid it as best as I could.
When you can't ctrl v, it's quicker to just type \/.

btw, who the hell cares... this is the stupidest point to bring up

What is your problem? can't you talk like a 'normal' person? *garbage crap?
And I have not seen any evidence of skill on your part that would maybe somehow justify your rudeness.
There is still something called "show respect to others". It means you talk in a helpful and pollite way towards others, towards people you think you can help by your criticism. If you are to lazy to actually think before you type, and being polite towards others is to troublesome for you, or you might think it to be a waste of time, go somewhere else.

i would like to second this notion! it is not like this criticism of you is unwarranted; i have seen a lot of comment on CA from you recently that entirely miss the point and just bash another person. please refrain if you have nothing useful to say, ASHEN.

i really like the style and especially the first pic because the character looks more mysterious and seems to be looking down on us. but what is the left hand doing? is it holding the sword sheath? a cape? it would help, i think, to define that because the hand is beautifully done.
i think the first twopics are really diffrent from each other and would make 2 different pieces.
as for the armor, i like the one on the far left, not as armor but as a flying apparatus, with those 2 cables linking them to the body...
good luck!
