[WIP] The Antichrist Is Coming...

hey guys,

heres a new piece ive just started on, to 'celebrate' 06-06-06 this coming few days im gonna paint the antichrist.

Here 'she' is so far, basicly i was thinking of how jesus parted the oceon, and thought it might be cool if it was the antichrist doing it this time, maybe on her way to wreak havok on a distant city. I will eventually have the sea full of bones and dead fish etc, also maybe have the city in the distance on fire.

The woman im not sure on how to dress, im thinkng maybe naked to show she doesont need any armour for protection so to speak, if shes the antichrist im figuring shes allready pretty badass with these powers of hers.

Although i might have her as described in the bible and the four horsemen. Dressed in white, with a bow in one hand.

Oh and ignore the blue puddle under her, was meant to be the start of the ground.

It looks good so far. Btw moses parted the red sea, not Jesus. Have you read revelations for more ideas? the four horsemen is jsut sorta the msot well known.

Hey guys, i sort of had it in my head that the antichrists minions would allready be wreaking havok on the citys of earth...shes just going around and finishing the job :)

We will see how it goes, i might leave the flames out as i think the smoke coming off them might ruin the composition of the piece.

well im not crazy about the "splatter" on her. but i can understand why you put it in there.

is the bottom of the picture too dark. her feet kind of dissappear.

Heres an update...basicly going into more detail now, allthough i fear i may have overdone the green :(. I did add some slight tinges of blue to th water but not much, advice at this point is muchly apreciatedly.

First image : added the details...the antichrist i think i overdone with the red highlights etc.

I think the water is starting to lose it's form... When in doubt, Keep It Simple, Seany =P


I think the Tops of the waves should have the green highlights, and there should be slightly less in the water... Also think where the water is thinnest, it shouldhave some kinda indication that it's thin there, like in water how when light goes through it it goes from blue to green the thinner it gets or somethin' like that, y'know?

yeah, the water looks way too cheezy now. Where you first added stones it was nice, but too many stones i think.

Also the refelection of the building just looks wrong.

For some reason I think it would be cool if there was a figure of jesus under a shaft of light standing at the other end... but maybe that's too confrotational.. this seems like a good teaser film poster with just her arri\/ing in the city.

but yeah keep the water simple-it went from water to rainbow muck with all sorts of junk in it.

It looks like she is bathing in blood if you keep it simple too, which just looks great.

Hurry up and do another with her sacrificing babies brought to her by cultists.

Yea, I agree on the 'overkill of green' notion. :) Besides that this is reallly wicked. Looking at this gives me a sense of vertigo, which is freakin' cool staring at a picture of the antichrist.

I really don't know much about Christianity, but is the antichrist really female, or is it just artistic interpretation? Just curious.

I personaly dont think that blurring the city looks right. maybe if it was a different blur filter it would look bette, but it makes it look messy right now.
