An Elven Samurai

Here is a picture I drew of an elven samurai. I tried to give that anime warrior look with the pink rose petals in the second version, but I'm not sure it turned out well so I put up the other one too. Please let me know what you think. :D

when i first looked at it i thought it looked like deedo from record of lodoss wars.

his/her left hand is a bit too small and that lower arm is weird. i know it supposed to be in perspective but its just weird, does not have the proportion, looks too thin, and too short. and as for the left arm, there does not seem to any hand holding that sword at all.

the right leg looks wrong also. it does not seem to be resting on the ground. like the outer edge is upturned.

the hair is too stiff. hair should be like flowing like water especially if its so long. and at the lowest point where the hair reaches, there is a lock of it that goes up? hair does not go up when its that low and long.

i think the armor should not be turtle necked. its not practical. and limits head movement. try looking for reference from actual armor as well as anime armor. it needs a some straps as well. armor does not 'clip' on a person's body(look at the left arm). how do the two swords at the back stick
on the armor? these are some of the things you should consider because they will make your design work. and one more armor thing, although many people do it(put the sword on the back), its a bit impractical and hard to pull out if they were fighting.

your rendering also looks very flat. you need a lot more shadows especially in the clothing. going by the anime style, it should be hard edged shadows and shading.

well, if i sounded a bit harsh, then i am sorry. and one last thing. this is the thing that i feel strongest about, is that, NEVER EVER put in words that you do not know the meaning to. because right now those chinese words dont make up any meaning to shit. they just make the whole artwork cheesy. i am a chinese myself thats y i know those words do not have any meaning.
