Help on colouring this pic

I just can't get the pro look of this concept.. I'm a begginer at digital painting, so i could use any advice. Please help..

colours are too bright... desaturate the image a bit

here's a few things :

Try making your files lighter. 500 K is way too much for an image on the boards and you'll eat up all your bandwith ;) You seem to be working in photoshop so try to "Save for Web" and make them light. It's ok if there's JPG compression artefacts all over it -after all it's just for display, and you'll get a ton more critiques.

The other thing is, try to avoid the Dodge and Burn tools. (before I get linched, they are useful tools but in reasonable quantities!)
