Gnomon Workshop 6/24~25

I'm pretty sure that I had posted this earlier, but there's a chance I typed it and didn't hit post. Or the thread was deleted for one reason or another. I don't know. My brain is playing tricks on me.

I wanted to see if anyone is going to the Gnomon workshop weekend 6/24 and 6/25. if you are, or just in the area and want to meet up for some beers and sketch afterwards send me a message.

i'm going. i went to the last two with beatnik and fukifino. a couple other people from the so cal area have gone before. poop was at the first one, buffaloe was at the first one too. phil too. hito, if you wanna cut costs you can kick it at my pad, EVEN THO YOU NEVER COME TO IRC ANYMORE =p fuki usually grabs the couch tho so you'll have to fight over it. i live like 15 minutes from gnomon =)

We dont typically allow advertising on conceptart.org...though in this case, MB is teaching there and Justin and Vance are very much worth watching and hearing. Gnomon relies on the internet forums for their advertising. We currently do not have a working relationship with them about such advertising. Simple as that.

I might go if I can get Saturday off, but has anyone been to these workshops? Does everyone just sit in a big theatre and watch them paint on a big screen? Do they give out booklets (tutorials) or sell DVD's there?
Also, I'm not a concept artist, so will the workshop curtail any useful information to animators as well ?

it takes place in thier green screen room which fits 100-200 people and you either watch them present a slide show or do a live demo. if you're lucky one of 'em will come out in a pink bunny suit and a gas mask and shine a flashlight in your face while rocking to marylin manson

The last workshop I went to some guy in a pink bunny suit came around and randomly beat people with a dildo. Flashlight in the face sounds much more reasonable.
