Wondering about the meaning of life, especially such a different life, can really shake an anteater man's resolve.
MS Paint with a mouse, because my computer's power source was blown, and I'm too lazy to move and install the wacom :P

squidmonk3j, made me laugh <3
chaosrocks, he looks like he needs a cuddle :)
subvicto, nice, you could try to duplicate your linework, set the layer to multiply over the top of your paint layer, rework highlights over the top
bunny, nice one
djb5k, good concept
hamsta, cool, mspaint tones work well
adamb, dig the colours

Some really flash pictures in here, inspirational as always :D

I sorta went the opposite direction, tossed the unique anteater head out the window, I guess that the body frame coudl actually be several different animals, but I figure that I manage to capture the fur pattern OK 40~90 minutes

http://www.littleweed.info/CASB/DSG1078.jpg

chaosrocks: you could go even looser and less defined with those gesture drawings and I think that they would have alot of movement, they feel restricted by the detail

spyroteknik that painting made me snort, I fear to find it on the wall of my grandfathers' house :fear:

.adamb nyahahahah, our next topic for DSG should be the Ant-boy that fears to be eaten by the Anteater Man,

Spiro I think the only thing your dude needs is a glass of wine and a pipe sticking out the end. Nice touch with the pattern on the wall. Really warm.

Sketchi: I thought about doing a woman too but somehow I know it would've gotten lude... Love the Grannyteater.

AGA by far the most anteater-y. all the way to the nearsighted expression! Vaughny boy..really quite funny.

we seem to have trouble making a visual difference between , anteater, and Elephant...I think a little tapir snuck in too. I know I did
turns out their snout s are fairly stiff rather than the flexible hose we think of with elephants, and the mouth is tiny way out at the tip with a hole barely big enuff for ants,,,

Gorgeous, if its going in the portfolio you might want to give it a bit more of a ground plain

Thx m8. The Anteater was just an inspiration. I didn't studied it closely. Btw, I was thinking about adding the ground but when I added these yellow/orange ants, I have resigned of this idea.

JakkaS- that's awesome. That's like a professional rpg characterbook illustration.

The DSG rules says we have 23 hours and 59 minutes to complete each drawing. You finished way too fast! :}

farvus, instead of guns, you should give your anteaterman some really cool boots, an ant-flavored soda, and a hot anteatermaneater girlfriend---or something to that effect.

Ok, I'll get back to work now.

invinciblewombat Turning ms paint to b&w replaces the horrible color swatches with what looks like comic half tones :^^:
umm... I like the little dancing creatures :p
The upper body of the anteater man works pretty well, line and shading wise, but why 6 eyes? looks like it's part spider as well. The bottom is very distracting and rather annoying, with it's out of proportion anatomical wierdness... ran out of paper? :)

spyroteknik Sorry, I can't see your pic, probably something wrong on my side, I'll check again, see if firefox feels like displaying it

Spyroteknik Ah, here we go. Have you ever played Star Control? this reminds me of the VUX (Very Ugly Xenoform) :teeth:
Lovely textures, nice "old masters" portrait feel to this, with the static "I've been sitting in the same position for hours" posture, and a sad look in it's eyes.
A little uncomfortable with the size of the thing (I have to scroll) and not sure this is an anteater and not something else, but good job nontheless

I can't believe I missed this post. Yeah, now that I look at it, the positioning of the hand has some definite "self-pleasuring" connotation to it.

Freudian slip?
