Thor WIP

Long time no see!

Got the urge to start a Marvel Comics Thor piece. Toyed with the idea of going with the bearded, more Viking-looking Thor, but decided on the classic look. Looking for any crits you've got to give. :O

the outpopping veins are ...MASSIVE by far too massive
so are the muscles, the make no anatimic sence
the hand is too big (it's as broad as his face is high!)

I like the face and the rendering of the tights (tight tights)

Hey Infinit, thanks for taking the time to post and help out..not sure what you specifically mean though about it making no "anatomic sense"..do you mean, say, the bicep is in the wrong spot, or..?

The hand is large, but that's intended - though obviously I can see why you would call it out. Since its a comic-based piece, I'm going for some of the old comic conventions, like big hands = power.

Tone down the veins a little bit? :)
Other than that I just think you should keep doing what you're doing. Its gonna be interesting to see how it progresses (Please put up a few progress reports now and then.)

I see what you're saying Infinit, and I definitely appreciate the time you spent. I'm going for an exaggerated feel, though, something with dramatic comic-book proportions. I'll definitely keep it in mind, though.

It's not that I don't like veins. It's just that these look like they go around and around the arm, and not up and down like most veins do :^^:
