I didn't do anything on this one but I came across it by chance and it was so awesome I wanted everybody to check it out.
They have some more cool 3d graphics at www.beans-magic.com in their gallery but these were my favorites:

took out img tags to save bandwith of host.

BTW this is NOT HERU's ART. Your crits are in vain.

I can't understand Jupanese, if there are any tips on 3d stuff like this, especially the great skin shader and the eyes of this 3d girl could you please translate for us?
that would be nice, thanks :)

oops!!
Didn't you make this work?
sorry!
i have mistake.....

this is translate

Most of this is a handwritten texture. In addition to a basic map, a speculer and the object for vamps draw, also spending even many hours, and a grade will go up expression of wrinkles and pore more. < -- is this portion patience and technology? In addition, the lighting technology of employing it efficiently is also required. Production lighting of those other than GI ...... This will also be an important portion, if it can come and loses, it will think that expression which was considered is difficult and this may be just the most important portion.

I think that skinshader was not used, unless skinshader has the effect that the near skin of a lightside is transparent.

I am not so good at English as I can do fine explanation.
but, since it will reexplain once again if there is a part which is not understand, I want you to say.

I've seen better.

I'm wondering why people are being allowed to post other people's work? even if they aren't claiming it as there own. should be deleted unless they state express permission from the artist. It is their bandwidth and work you are messing with here/

Right, so let's go ahead and just delete that whole forum called "art history". :p
I think you're missing the point Coma. This is after all a forum, meant for discussing things. He didn't take credit for the work, he was simply trying to discuss it and maybe give some inspiration. And I don't really think beans-magic.com takes offence when he's giving us their link.

The face looks great, it is even non-symmetrical (slightly only) or that may just be expression.

The body - i don't know. seems a bit slender in places.

But a very good piece of work, and smart thinking to put hands out of focus ;-)

actually I think it was an advertisement for 3D studio max - Character Studio.

which would explain the brazil plugin used for the girl...the 3DS max refrence on the page......and the final nail in the coffin the "CS" belt buckel. i think I saw it on the eruo CG art magazine.

If that's the case I would be very surprise if the artist got upset at other people viewing his online portfolio. but yeah permision is always dandy.

i didn't even know who the did the model uptill now.

Impressive indeed, eyelashes and lower facial skin toning need attention though. It's close, but it still has that little something that tells my eyes its a 3D graphic.
All credit to whoever made it tho :chug:

Look really nice. I think its a Spezial Skinshader then HDRI Rendering and it looks nearly realistic. But in my opinion the Textures from Final Fantasy - The Spirit within and Animatrix looks a bit better.

Why i think this are not the best textures, coz the detail of the skins are very low. Its all to clean. Yes okay. Its a woman face. :D But the male charakter looks not so good like the female charakter, coz of losing controll of the details.

visit www.stevengiesler.com and make your own opinion. :D

I'm pretty sure that model is all Max. If it's rendered in Brazil it has to be cause they don't make it for Maya. Thanks for posting those Heru, they ARE really impressive.
