I love Metal Gear. ...but that trailor was not edited as well as the past MGS trailers...sadly.
Those pics are dope though.
...I though it was a joke when S. Snake bit the snake and hissed...:( not too cool.
thanks for the heads up!

hahaha--yea the snake biting/hissing part was wack
the game looks cool--but then again metal gear 2 looked cool but i didnt like it
i thought 1 was amazing--one of my favorite games of all time---hopefully theyll chill out onthe dialogue and nonsensical story and let it be a GAME
yea the gamecube remake will be slick

Always though MGS concept art was some of the most original stuff out there, sadly that can't be said 'bout the story on MGS2, (thank god I just rented the thing!)
lets hope the the follow up can live up to the hipe.

kinda looks like mgs2 goes to vietnam ;)
nah seriously... i am sure, they will give a lot of new facettes just by the size of terrain...
indoor sneaking is just different than outdoor sneaking.
re story: yeah, 2 was a bit strange... good game nevertheless. you have to admit that it was hard to get out of the shadow of characters like psycho mantis and decoy octopus.
the design of ray was f*in great, though.
i think we can have enough trust in kcej that they don't waste it...

I enjoyed the story in MGS2, but like MGS much better. What was it about the story you didn't like. I'm not insulting you...I would just like to better understand why some would like a story so much and others would dislike it.
Thanks,

Hi joshua
No insult at all.
well I played trough the whole game, and as a stand alone product it is very very good. Lots of eye candy, good control, interesting setting, but as part of a series it wasn't as good.
I had no problem changing to stryder (Ithink that was his name..) 1/3 into the thing. but after the switch the game is a carbon copy of the first MGS.
you have to do the same things, just with better graphics, and different bosses, but the story is esentially the same, and the levels boss fights play basically the same (the helicopter boss/ harrier boss ...)
What I really didn't like was in the end, when they tell you it is all a big setup to recreate the first game and find new soldiers, and that is why it feels similar. That is utter bull, it is like konami reprogrammed the first MGS, but couldn't figure out a different story and had to come up with an excuse for the whole game.
An other thing that I have a huge problem with, but isn't story related, is the gameplay in the one on one fights, like the very final boss. I got over it in the first one, but it still was fixed when MGS2 hit the street, and that is unacceptable.Fortunatley there aren't that many
A game is 3 things for me, Gameplay, Graphics, and Story. MGS improved only in the graphics area. The Gameplay was the same as the first one, amazing, but not an improvement (and the boxing fight still don't work out). and the story well it plain sucked...
wow what a rant, I really am a geek, anyway got it out of my chest, your turn now! :D

Hum, I liked the Industrial atmosphere in MGS1, now I miss it. I don't like this type of Tomb-Rider-Action style ;)
not as good as Half-Life 2, I think
:D cu
