View Full Version : DSG 1076: Fantasy Close-Up: GLOWING MIST LEAKS FROM CRACKS IN BEAUTIFUL WOMAN'S FACE

[ Hm... ]

[ The cracks might be as if her face is made of marble or some other stone... ]

[ The vapour might be an electric blue, a firey orange, a radioactive green... ]

[ Keep in mind that this is a close-up of her face, so don't include the rest of her here, unless it's in some extreme perspective that reduces such to something quite minimal... and that's probably an unneccessarily complicated approach for most, so just stick to the face. ]

[ Sorry, I'm babbling now. ]

[ Go draw! ]

Used sleeping gf for model. Wasn't quite sure how to do mist. Rendering method was inspired by squidmonk3j's entry.

The legend tells that this amazingly life like statue is no statue at all, but a real woman frozen into stone but a powerful warlock who lusted after her, but could never have her. Now she cries magic, while the warlock is long forgotten.
painter, a quickie, at 20 min maybe

Heh, popular topic.
damn just realized that I practicaly did squidmonk3j's from a different angle, stupid me.
Isn't al that simular, the only things the pictures got in common are the open mouths, back-tilted head, and hair-length.

subvicto - Really nice picture, very smooth. But I don't see neither smoke or crack =/

Goran - Beutiful as always, that's some brave use of custom brushen, it's gonna take me a while before I can get so loose in my painting. bravo.

Oddo - Nice colors and energy.

welcome to the site. is that the girl from fig drawing last night? i'd watch how the neck line follows the tilt of the head. it's a little long too - but good expression. she looks pissed.
