That guy's wings, axe and red eyes ruled the show.
Shame he couldn't sing. The "Hard Rockalypse" wasn't quite hard enough... maybe their "Day of Rockening" is yet to come...

omg shit this contests just drives me crazy. Every fucking year of my short life it has been like an tradition here to go to "eurovision parties!!!" jeee, there are no cars out on the street, there's no one out anywhere.
Everybody's at home watching (imo)the worst excuse for a song contest I've ever seen.
Though, I have to admit, there were two cool things in it this year.
Lordi, they're so not your regular eurovision band and Silvía Night, the singer from Iceland, even though I found here song quite horrible, it was just so funny how she managed to fuck everybody around here and she got just what she wanted out of it. Negative attention, and alot of it.

Hún er algjör hálfviti. ég held að mér finnst jafnvel ekki Björk jafn pirrandi. Hún átti ekki einu sinni skilið að fá að vera í Eurovision (og ég hata keppnina), hún kom fram sem algjör asni við Grikkina. Mér mundi vanalegast vera alveg sama um þetta en meðan við að þetta er það eina "íslenska" sjónvarps efni sem ég sé hér í englandi finnst mér þetta nokkuð pirrandi.
Sorry for that, had to vent about "Silvia Night" in my native tongue. Anyway, I was quite surprised at Finland seeing as how EV has always a crappy pop contest, though it was a happy surprise.
Congratulations to you, too bad that you'll have to put up with all the crappy music next year;)

Finland should've won and they did! yay! That... thing... on the keyboards was hilarious. :)
Maybe there'll be at least a bit less crap on Eurovision from now on.
6th place and causing some controversy is enought of a win for us puny Lithuanians. :confident

Took me some time to find poor Finland, I was religiously looking at the end of the list. :D
Hilarious~~

Bwahahahahaha, this is soooooo horrible, it's fun! I don't vote, cos i think most of the time it's a scam, but i'm glad Lordi/Finland won instead of all those halfnekkid chicks with crappy songs.
Next year, everyone will be dressed like Lordi! Yay! :lens:

Me and my family never miss a single Eurovision, always good for a laugh, but this has been the first time ever iv been compelled to vote. Go Lordi!
I knew they had to be the ones after hearing the words 'Arockalypse' and 'Day of rockening'. Sheer cheese genius.
Anyone see any of the interviews with Lordi? They seem like a nice bunch

I saw a Interview, was great stuff. They were asked if people would ever get to see behind their masks, to which they replied; 'What masks?' Did'nt get to see the whole thing though. It cut back to a rather berwildered BBC presenter who exlamied how normal their voices sounded, as if she actually expected them to be real monsters.
I loved the lithuanian (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEpyDDLpB-I&search=lithuania) entry. Pure genious.

Lordi where great, they won by a landslide.
And miss Silvia Night is a fictional character. Her personality is an act. In Iceland its well known its all just fun, however the rest of the world took her very seriously. (BTW Im english to i took her serious for a bit.) Read all about it here at wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silvia_Night)
The main jist is:
Ágústa Eva Erlendsdóttir, singer for the band Ske and a young and unknown actress, and Gaukur Úlfarsson decided to invent a character that brought out all the worst things in human behaviour in modern society. Silvía's personality is highly affected by narcissism and she sees herself as the most famous and talented person walking on the planet Earth. Her full Icelandic name is Silvía Nótt Sæmundsdóttir (see Icelandic naming conventions) and she is 22 years old. Silvía means goddess of silver and Nótt simply means night. Over the last 25 years names with the former name two syllables and the latter name (middle name) one syllable have been extremely popular in Iceland, and Silvia's name is therefore considered quite typical, but still describing her character very well.
I found it hard to take her serioulsy so i did a quick google. There are some very obnoxious people in the world, but theres no one that horrid.
