So here is my One-Photo-A-Day gallery. :D
My target is to do this for one year. I cannot promise that I will upload one picture every day, but I really resolved to do that.

how do you get your copywrite?
Just type "(c) your-name" :D
Who do you go to?
You do not have to go somewhere
How much do you pay?
As the artist and creator you do not have to pay anything. At least in germany all rights for your "art" are reserved. (No one is allowed to use your art without your permisson.) I honestly don't know the rules in the USA, but I think they are very similar. (Maybe someone can say more about that?)
http://www.disclaimer.de/disclaimer.htm?farbe=E5E5FF/000088/1111FF/1111FF
The copyright for any material created by the author is reserved. Any duplication or use of objects such as images, diagrams, sounds or texts in other electronic or printed publications is not permitted without the author's agreement.
Edit// I found something: In the USA the rights are automaticly reserved until 70 years after the death of the author. A registration is not necessary but recommended.

You automatically get the rights to your own work. But if it gets stolen and you take it to court, then you will have to be able to prove that it belongs to you.
Nice pics, that sea is quite dramatic.
