Not sure what "your take on this cover" means... did you paint over someone else's lines? I don't think that would qualify as *your* finished work. The lines are decent, but the color choice isn't great, the shading is misplaced and rather generic, and the background color would do better as a solid black.

posting the same pic in several places will no doubt bring feedback...but not the kind you're looking for.

however...the colouring seems very rushed. and you seem only to have applied dodge and burn for variations in tone. this is never a good idea, since these two tools simply add white / black.

consider where the light is coming from, consider how light tends to bounce...and more important, consider WHY you are adding colour.

as for the piece,
i think you took a great cover and turned it into something mediocre.
look back at the original, you will notice that leinil yu really places the emphasis on the faces.
you have taken that away, and instead made wolverines back, and his hair really important.
neither of which are particularly interesting.

even if you want to be a colorist,
you need to learn basic composition skills.
the first priority should be "focal point".
