I could imagine that you spent a long time on this - not a bad attempt. She's quite pink though don't you think? SOme of the shading is correct but I think around the nose the shadow underneath it should be over to the right some more.

the shadow under the chin that is being cast on to the neck looks like someone has tried to strangle her! Try and define it a bit more and ask yourself where exactely is the light source coming from? This will help alot!

Cheers

Is there a reference for this pic, or is this from memory only? The reason I ask is because the light play on the necklace is a bit odd, as though they are chrome, or some other metal, instead of the pearls they look like they should be. If they are indeed pearls, keep in mind that they are normally almost translucent, and not quite so hard edged.

Nice stuff. :yayca:

Thanks a lot for your comments, guys.

Dstudio : I spent about a week on it, working a few hours every day. I was actually struggling with the color while painting it because it wasnt pink enough it seemed.. maybe I overkilled it.. she had a lot of blush on her face, so thats why her cheeks are very red. Yeah, the neck does look pretty bruised haha.. I cant wait to get to college so I can start learning how to actually do this stuff correctly ;p Thanks a lot for your comment.

ProfAz: I did it from a photo of her, bout 11x8 or a little bigger. The necklace was, in fact, a metal/silverish looking necklace. Thanks for your comment, I'll keep that in mind if ever painting pearls.
